Nuclear generating facilities have a planned life span of 40 years or more. It is the planned maintenance and replacement of the components and systems that permits optimum operations and high capacity factors. Wardrop possesses substantial experience in the development and execution of various asset management programs including maintenance optimization, condition assessments, and equipment qualification for nuclear and conventional systems. We employ industry leading processes and tools to optimize asset utilization.

- Master Equipment List: Our team works with the client to develop a Master Equipment list (MEL), Operational Flow Sheets and nuclear safety criticality coding of equipment. This identifies safety related components and can be enrolled in a maintenance optimization program.
- Preventative Maintenance Optimization (PMO): We apply industry best practices for maintenance programs that align with Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) and Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) guidelines.
- Work Management: Wardrop is diligent in our work assessment and management so that field execution is conducted in a safe and timely manner. Extra attention is given to ensuring procedures, tools, and materials are current and available for use.
- Condition Assessment: We have experience in providing System and Component Level Condition Assessments (CCAs) to establish ageing mechanisms, failure modes, and critical maintenance requirements.
