Since the early 1970s, Wardrop has provided environmental services.  In the past 10 years alone, Wardrop has undertaken environmental assignments at more than 2000 locations across Canada and around the world. It is the expertise of our staff and broad knowledge of applications that allows Wardrop to service the diversity of our markets and broad range of projects—meeting all the various needs of our clients.

Through regular communications with regulatory bodies, we have an intimate understanding of the process that allows us to determine the proponent’s requirements and identify potential obstacles that may affect the timing or cost of a program. Our strong, positive reputation with regional resource coordinators and inspectors has been solidified with consistent, effective environmental performance.

Wardrop's environmental teams are able to leverage the engineering skills of our organization to complement our work.  For example, structural and geotechnical engineers provide support around excavations; mechanical, electrical and process professionals can be consulted for remediation system design and implementation; environmental sciences staff can help with the biological sciences; and project management and project controls support facilitate project execution.

We have extensive expertise in environmental management, including expertise in environmental assessments, site assessment and remediation, reclamation and hydrogeological studies. Wardrop undertakes all environmental investigations in accordance with the applicable Provincial and Federal Regulations and Processes, and has also provided expert witness testimony on behalf of clients.
