Project Management

Wardrop operates within a result-orientated project management process to balance budget, schedule, quality and scope. Our internet-based Management Information System allows for hands‑on, real-time cost control and accurate analysis of expenditures. Strong leadership guides our project management process and builds relationships based on integrity, transparency, open communications and accountability.

Our project teams embrace value engineering principles and conduct reviews early in the process, as well as throughout the project’s life cycle, to allow early identification, resolution and avoidance of negative risks and impacts, while improving quality, safety and life cycle costs.

Quality Management System

Quality means ensuring that we meet our client’s requirements on each task, as well as the overall project. Wardrop’s Quality Management System (QMS) was developed to ensure consistency of services and products across all our divisions and offices. Our QMS incorporates a refined Quality Control and Quality Assurance process proven to deliver superior projects on-schedule and on-budget. Through consistent delivery with consistent results, we have proven our ability to deliver predictable, high value solutions and clients reward our commitment with long-term relationships. Client satisfaction drives our Quality Management System, which is registered to ISO 9001:2008.

Wardrop is committed to protecting the health and safety of our clients, employees and the public, as well as the protecting and enhancing the environmental in which we live.  Our staff members are trained in recognizing, assessing and mitigating hazards, and executing project tasks in the safest possible manner. Our comprehensive Health and Safety program meets regulatory requirements and follows industry standards established by CSA Z1000-06 and OHSAS 18001. It is the goal of Wardrop to have a mature Safety Culture, where safe work practice is instilled in every employee.

Wardrop recognizes that an effective Health and Safety Program is one that is in continuous development and improvement. Our Workplace Health and Safety group reviews and updates existing Health and Safety practices to ensure optimum people and environmental stewardship.

Information Technology

The advancements in Information Technology have changed the way business is conducted around the world. Wardrop has taken advantage of these opportunities to better facilitate communications, data sharing and reporting, and maximize the value to our clients. The reach of the Internet, paired with technology and security, allows both Wardrop and client teams to access data remotely via project portals while in an office, mobile, at home, or on site.

We live in a three-dimensional visual world, and we embrace and utilize the most current virtualization and visualization technology to enhance our ability to analyze problems and design solutions.  With GIS, Laser Scanning, and through modelling complex designs and plants in 3D CAD, we bring technology to the forefront of any project.  The digital format allows us, and our clients, to easily transform the data into multiple outputs, whether it be a plant walk-through, training animation, or web-based public information.

Wardrop’s Solutions Framework provides significant value-added solutions including the design of custom data management systems, process optimization, software development, web-based production monitoring, and estimating software.
