PASADENA, Calif., Aug 16, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Tetra Tech, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTEK) announced today that it has acquired engineering firm Metalica Consultores, S.A. of Santiago, Chile. This is Tetra Tech's first acquisition in Latin America. Metalica has about 60 employees and provides consulting engineering services to mining and natural resources companies.

Tetra Tech, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTEK) announced today that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire substantially all of the assets of mining engineering company Proteus EPCM Engineers of Perth, Australia. Proteus has about 150 employees primarily located in Western Australia and has annual revenue of approximately $30 million. The acquisition is expected to close in early August 2011.
